Randhawa and Singh Shine in India Legends Championship Debut
Tournament host Jeev Milkha Singh and fellow regular Jyoti Randhawa ranked third after day one of the India Legends Championship. Brazil's Adilson Da Silva shared third place. Joakim Haeggman led the event, while Clark Dennis was also a significant contender. The tournament saw exciting performances and mixed results from Indian golfers.
Tournament host Jeev Milkha Singh and fellow Legends Tour regular Jyoti Randhawa shone brightly as they shared third place after the first day of the India Legends Championship held at the Jaypee Greens Golf Course on Friday.
Joining Singh and Randhawa at 4-under-par 68 was Brazil's Adilson Da Silva, trailing Joakim Haeggman three strokes. Haeggman dominated the day with eight birdies and one bogey, finishing with a stellar 7-under 65 card at the inaugural $500,000 event, co-sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI).
Clark Dennis from the US, who had led for much of the morning, ended his round at 5-under 67, subsequently surpassed by Haeggman. Dennis played alongside Randhawa and South Africa's Keith Horne, the latter completing his round at 72, currently ranked ninth on the Legends Tour Order of Merit.
