The decision comes as Norris cut Verstappen's lead to 62 points with eight races left, including sprints. Despite Oscar Piastri overtaking him early in the Monza race, relegating Norris to third, Stella emphasized the need to optimize team dynamics for the best chance at both championships.

Stella noted that while both drivers are mathematically in contention, Norris is in a more advantageous position. The team will explore all options, including race position swaps, to fortify their championship pursuits.
