Former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka Ashraf has refuted allegations of dissent within the national team, asserting that his captaincy appointments did not create any rifts.
In an interview with a local news channel, Ashraf defended his decisions to appoint Shaheen Shah Afridi as T20 captain and Shan Masood as Test captain. He emphasized that there were no conflicts between Babar Azam and Shaheen.
Despite Shaheen's sacking after a series in New Zealand and subsequent poor form, Ashraf maintained the team's unity remained intact. He also justified appointing Muhammad Hafeez as team director and including experienced cricketers in the coaching staff.
