Ravindra Jadeja, the ace Indian all-rounder, ascended to a new cricketing landmark on Monday as he secured his 300th Test wicket, becoming the seventh Indian bowler to achieve this remarkable feat. This milestone came on the fourth day of the second Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur.
Jadeja marked his achievement by dismissing Khaled Ahmed for a duck in a crucial over, contributing significantly to his team's efforts. The 35-year-old veteran reached this landmark after delivering 17428 balls, making him the second quickest Indian to do so after Ravichandran Ashwin, who accomplished it in 15636 balls.
The achievement adds another chapter to Jadeja's illustrious career, which began with his Test debut in 2012 against England. So far, he has played 73 Test matches and 138 innings, claiming 300 wickets at an economy rate of 2.47, apart from scoring 3122 runs in 106 innings.
