Sandip Pradhan's Tenure as SAI Director General Ends
Sandip Pradhan's tenure as the Director General of the Sports Authority of India concluded after over five years. Sports Secretary Sujata Chaturvedi will assume additional responsibilities as SAI DG. Pradhan, an IRS officer, first became SAI DG in 2019, with subsequent extensions in 2020 and 2022.

Sandip Pradhan's tenure as the Director General of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) concluded on Monday after more than five years of leadership.
The government officially relieved him of his duties, appointing Sports Secretary Sujata Chaturvedi with the additional role of SAI DG, effective October 1.
Pradhan, an Indian Revenue Service Officer from the 1990 batch, first assumed the role of SAI DG in July 2019. His term saw extensions in May 2020 and again in 2022. Chaturvedi, appointed as sports secretary in 2021, is an IAS officer from the 1989 Bihar cadre.
