PCB Demands ICC Explanation After Anthem Mix-Up at Champions Trophy

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has requested an explanation from the ICC following a mix-up in which India's national anthem erroneously played for a brief moment at the Australia-England Champions Trophy match. The PCB holds the ICC responsible for the incident, noting India's absence in Pakistan matches.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has demanded an explanation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) following an embarrassing incident at the Australia-England Champions Trophy match where India's national anthem played unexpectedly for a second.

Fans and players were taken aback when India's anthem was mistakenly broadcast just as both teams lined up at the game's start on Saturday. A source from ICC confirmed the PCB's formal complaint regarding the mishap.

The PCB criticized ICC's handling of event playlists, particularly since India, not playing against Pakistan due to security reasons, was not even involved, suggesting negligence. Additionally, the PCB addressed earlier grievances about their team logo's exclusion during India's match against Bangladesh in Dubai.
