Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced a transformative plan to revolutionize the sports sector during the Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg. Highlighting the need to engage youth constructively, Abdullah emphasized building sports infrastructure in every village.
Despite weather challenges, the fifth edition of the games succeeded, showcasing athletes' resilience. Abdullah expressed commitment to enhancing facilities and promoting diverse sports to expand the region's sports and tourism potential.
With new developments like the Sonamarg Tunnel, Abdullah aims to position Jammu and Kashmir as a global winter sports destination, inviting further investment and encouraging emerging sports such as Pickleball.
