After clinching a gold medal at the 8th Elite Women's National Boxing Championships, India's Jaismine Lamboria sets her sights on the upcoming world championships. The Commonwealth Games medalist expressed her delight after defeating Priya 5-0 in the featherweight category, attributing her success to robust preparation and strong support from her coaches.

Acknowledging the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) for organizing consistent tournaments, Jaismine emphasized her commitment to preparing for the world championships scheduled this year. The championships saw Railways dominate with nine medals, claiming gold in all five of their finalist bouts at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex.

Haryana secured a second-place finish with six medals, while All India Police (AIP) followed with seven. Across a week-long competition involving 188 boxers from 24 state units, standout performers were honored, including Jaismine Lamboria as Best Boxer and Simranjit Kaur as Best Challenger. The event, governed by the World Boxing Technical & Competition Rules, highlighted a successful campaign for Services with Jaismine maintaining an unbeaten streak.
