Brentford Bolsters Squad with Antoni Milambo Signing
Brentford has signed 20-year-old midfielder Antoni Milambo from Feyenoord on a five-year contract, with an option for a further year. Milambo, the youngest debutant for Feyenoord, moves to the Premier League with impressive statistics, having scored eight goals in 60 appearances in Dutch competitions.
Brentford has secured the services of Feyenoord midfielder Antoni Milambo in a strategic five-year agreement, which includes an option for a one-year extension, the Premier League club announced on Thursday. Milambo, aged 20, joins Brentford after over a decade at Feyenoord, where he etched his name in history by debuting at the age of 16, becoming the youngest to play for the Eredivisie outfit.
The young Dutch footballer leaves Feyenoord with a solid contribution of eight goals in 60 first-team matches across various competitions. His rise in the past year caught the eye of Brentford manager Keith Andrews. "Antoni has played a lot of football in the last 12 months and really shot to prominence," Andrews commented, emphasizing the need to adapt Milambo to the Premier League's demanding pace.
Looking forward to the upcoming season, Brentford, who achieved a 10th-place finish last season, is all set to face Nottingham Forest as they kick off their 2025-26 league campaign on August 17.
