Marc Marquez, the six-time MotoGP champion, marked a historic moment by securing his first-ever victory at the Austrian Grand Prix, commemorating the 1,000th premier class race. This triumph extends his substantial lead of 142 points over his brother Alex in the championship standings.

Marquez's performance was nothing short of spectacular as he clinched the sprint-race double for the sixth consecutive Grand Prix. His victory streak, which began after the British Grand Prix, moves him closer to a potential seventh MotoGP crown with just nine rounds left.

Fermin Aldeguer showcased impressive late-race pace to claim the second spot, while Marco Bezzecchi, who had maintained a strong position for most of the race, finished third. Despite his efforts, Alex Marquez secured 10th place after serving a penalty.
