Unity through Sports: 69th National School Games Kick-off in Jammu & Kashmir

The 69th National School Games were officially inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at TRC Football Ground on Monday. The grand opening was symbolized by Abdullah ceremonially kicking off a football, marking the start of the event.
In his opening speech, Abdullah underlined the crucial role sports play in promoting unity and friendship among India's youth from varied regions. "Sports build bridges of unity and friendship," he remarked, expressing his delight in participating in the event's inauguration.
Assuring the participants of comprehensive government support, Abdullah promised efforts to enhance their comfort and safety, urging athletes to focus on their experience. The event will see participation from 30 teams across states and union territories, competing in football, wushu, taekwondo, and table tennis.
