Sebastien Ogier, driving for Toyota, has made motorsport history by winning his ninth world rally championship, aligning with Sebastien Loeb's record. The Frenchman achieved this milestone in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant feat as he becomes the oldest world champion at the age of 41.

Having initially announced his retirement from full-time rallying in 2021, Ogier's part-time participation did not hinder his pursuit of the prestigious title, as he triumphed in six out of the 14 rounds he raced, despite missing three.

Biographical highlights include Ogier's stints with Volkswagen, Ford, and Toyota, along with his notable successes against strong contenders like teammate Elfyn Evans. The race in Saudi Arabia also marked the spotlight for Ogier's co-driver, Vincent Landais, who claimed his first title.
