The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revoked the provisional suspension of cricketer Haider Ali, paving the way for his participation in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The young batter had faced allegations of rape while touring England, which led to his suspension from all forms of competitive cricket.
Authorities in Manchester investigated the claims against Ali but found insufficient evidence to proceed with any legal action, clearing him of all charges. Following the lifting of the suspension, Ali, along with eight other Pakistani players, received No Objection Certificates to play in the BPL, with permission to participate until January 23.
Meanwhile, veteran batter Umar Akmal remains in limbo after being denied an NOC by the PCB, which has impacted his international opportunities. Akmal has expressed frustration and is seeking clarification from the board regarding their decision.
