The Sri Lanka women's cricket team is embarking on an exciting tour to India to compete in a five-match T20 series against the reigning ODI world champions.

The highly anticipated series will kick off with matches in Visakhapatnam on December 21 and 23, before moving to Thiruvananthapuram for the remaining games on December 26, 28, and 30. This marks India's first major assignment following their maiden global title win.

The Sri Lankan squad, captained by Chamari Athapaththu, features a blend of experienced players and promising young talent. In light of an underwhelming World Cup campaign, several senior team members, including Anushka Sanjeewani, have been omitted. Wicketkeeping duties will be taken over by Kaushini Nuthyangana, while Shashini Gimhani and Rashmika Sewwandi make notable returns to the team.
