Luis Suárez is set to play another season for Inter Miami, joining forces once more with Lionel Messi, the reigning MLS champions announced Wednesday. Suárez, who will turn 39 in January, signed a contract for the 2026 season, though the financial details remain undisclosed.

The Uruguayan forward will unite with back-to-back MLS MVP Messi for the opening of Inter Miami's new stadium near Miami International Airport. This marks Suárez's third season with the club. Despite having a less prominent role in the playoffs, Suárez notched 17 goals and 17 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions last season.

The striker played a crucial part in helping Inter Miami clinch its first Supporters' Shield title after joining ahead of the 2024 season. With some roster adjustments following the departures of veterans like Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, the club announced last week the extension of defender Ian Fray's contract through the 2028-29 season.
