Travis Head delivered an unbeaten half-century to lead Australia to 119 for two in its second innings, establishing a 204-run lead by tea on Day 3 of the third Ashes Test against England. England had put up a spirited fight earlier, dismissed for 286 just before lunch.

Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer created a record 106-run ninth-wicket stand, presenting a resolute English fightback. However, Stokes fell for 83, leaving Australia with an 85-run initial lead. Despite early setbacks, Australia's steady batting further extended their hold on the game.

Head's innings of 68 from 94 deliveries, featuring six boundaries and a six, built an unbroken 66-run stand with Usman Khawaja. Meanwhile, England is hopeful to chase big, having done so previously against India, keeping their hopes alive in the gripping contest.
