The Indian under-17 football team is poised for a challenging encounter with the UAE side in Thailand, as part of their preparation for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup in 2026.

Arriving in Thailand earlier this week, the 24-member squad is gearing up to engage in two friendly matches scheduled for April 17 and 21. These games will be held in Samut Prakan, a town near Bangkok, and are set to take place behind closed doors, ensuring focus and strategy development.

In the build-up to these encounters, the Blue Colts have demonstrated their prowess with previous friendly matches against Thailand, Indonesia, and Korea Republic. Post these training sessions, the squad returned for a session in Kolkata, fine-tuning tactics for their upcoming AFC group stage matches in Jeddah, where they will face Australia, Uzbekistan, and DPR Korea.
