Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh etched his name in IPL history by becoming the first Punjab Kings bowler to claim 100 wickets in the prestigious league. This achievement was unlocked during a thrilling clash against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, with Singh taking an impressive 3/22 in four overs.
The left-arm sensation struck valuable blows by sending back formidable batters such as Ryan Rickelton, Suryakumar Yadav, and Sherfane Rutherford. Arshdeep's consistency has been pivotal for PBKS since 2019, amassing 102 wickets in 87 matches with outstanding figures, including a five-wicket haul of 5/32.
Joining an elite group of left-arm pacers with 100 IPL wickets, Singh stands alongside Trent Boult, Jayden Unadkat, Ashish Nehra, and Zaheer Khan. Meanwhile, a powerful 122-run partnership between Quinton de Kock and Naman Dhir propelled MI to a hefty score despite the early setbacks.
