In a bid to propel India towards becoming a developed nation, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, emphasized the crucial need for physical fitness among citizens.

During the Chintan Shivir event in Srinagar, Mandaviya launched the 'Sunday on Cycle' initiative on the Dal Lake's banks to promote this message. This nationwide event, to be held at 16,000 locations, aims at showcasing the importance of fitness in building a prosperous society.

"For India to realize its potential as a developed country, fitness is essential," Mandaviya declared. "A healthy society stems from fit citizens, and our youth in Srinagar are leading this change by cycling every Sunday to spread the 'Fit India' message."
