Scott Parker's Exit Amid Burnley's Premier League Relegation
Scott Parker has left his role as Burnley's coach by mutual consent after the team was relegated from the Premier League. Despite a historic promotion previously, Burnley lost 1-0 to Manchester City, confirming their drop. Parker's departure paves the way for interim management under Mike Jackson.
In a significant move, Scott Parker has parted ways with Burnley by mutual consent following their confirmed relegation from the Premier League, the club announced on Thursday.
Burnley's fall to the second tier came after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Manchester City, marking their 22nd loss of the season. The club currently languishes in 19th place with only 20 points gathered from 34 matches.
Parker, who previously led Burnley to a record-breaking unbeaten streak and promotion from the Championship, ends his tenure at Turf Moor as the board seeks new leadership. Mike Jackson, along with the current backroom staff, will temporarily manage the team.
