Formidables Triumph at All India Bridge Championship

Defending champions Formidables secured their fourth team event title at the All India Bridge Championship, narrowly defeating Monica Jajoo. The team, consisting of Sumit Mukherjee and others, won 88.5 points and Rs.1,80,000. Meanwhile, Aloke Kumar Sadhu won the MP Pairs event with a score of 730.8 MPs.

In a gripping final of the All India Bridge Championship, defending champions Formidables claimed their fourth team event title, overcoming a steadfast Monica Jajoo. Formidables' players, including Sumit Mukherjee and Kaustabh Nandi, amassed 88.5 International Match points, securing a prize of Rs.1,80,000.

Monica Jajoo, the runners-up, achieved 78 points, earning Rs.1,20,000 at the event held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. Their performance underscored the intense competition characterizing this year's championship.

In the MP Pairs event, Aloke Kumar Sadhu emerged victorious, scoring 730.8 Match Points, while the pair of Samir Basak and Sandip Datta closely followed with 699.7 MPs, showcasing their strategic prowess in the game.
