Delhi will host the 22nd Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship in 2026 at Thyagraj Stadium, confirmed Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday. Players from more than 35 countries will take part in this international event, scheduled from July 27 to August 2, organized by the Delhi government and the Table Tennis Federation of India.
Gupta highlighted that the championship represents Delhi's long-standing legacy of hosting international sporting events and is instrumental in positioning the city on the global sporting map. The government is committed to providing top-tier infrastructure and a seamless experience for both players and spectators.
Participants from numerous countries including England, Australia, and Nigeria are expected. The event will span several categories, culminating in finals on August 2.
