Cotton's journey to Australian citizenship, which he began in 2019 with hopes of playing in the Tokyo Olympics, concluded successfully last September. Cotton, who played college basketball for Providence and had a stint in the NBA, has since dominated Australia's National Basketball League.
Expressing gratitude, Cotton said Australia has embraced him wholeheartedly. The Boomers, showing a 100% record in Asian qualifying, have already secured their place in the second round of qualifications for the FIBA World Cup in Qatar.
