Kickstarting Future Stars: Premier League Empowers Indian Coaches

The Premier League made significant strides in fostering grassroots football in India with the launch of its inaugural NEXTGEN coach programme in Goa. The four-day initiative, held from May 10 to 13, brought together over 30 coaches from the OSCAR Foundation.

These coaches gained valuable insights through a mixture of classroom education and on-pitch practice sessions. Guided by international community coaches and experienced Indian trainers, the programme focused on equipping coaches with strategies to deliver football training that is safe, inclusive, and enjoyable.

The NEXTGEN initiative, which began as a youth tournament, represents the Premier League's continued effort to leverage its two decades of global expertise to impact local communities positively. This also fosters a platform for cultural exchange and development for young players.
