Mo Bobat, director of cricket for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, praised the team's "collective contributions" and determined spirit after they secured a spot in the IPL final for the second year running. RCB secured a convincing victory over Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1, owing much to Rajat Patidar's exemplary innings.

RCB's strong batting performance, led by captain Patidar's impressive 93 not out off just 33 balls, allowed the team to score a formidable 254 for five. Their efforts were backed by a stellar bowling display that saw Gujarat Titans dismissed for 162. Post-match, Bobat highlighted the importance of multiple players consistently stepping up under pressure.

Bobat expressed satisfaction with how various team members have repeatedly risen to the occasion, ensuring that the team is not overly reliant on a few individuals. He commended Patidar for his composed leadership, lauding his ability to effectively read the game and manage high-stakes situations, which has been crucial in their successful campaign.

Praising Venkatesh Iyer's perseverance, Bobat noted his positivity and readiness to seize opportunities, which contributed significantly in the playoffs. The aggressive approach adopted by RCB was partly motivated by the need to surpass the formidable batting line-up of Gujarat Titans, a strategy that ultimately paid off.
