Buriram United clinched the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup title on Wednesday with a 2-1 victory over Malaysia's Selangor FC in the decisive second leg held at Buriram Stadium. The win marked a 3-1 aggregate triumph for the Thai League 1 champions.

The match saw pivotal goals from players Suphanat Mueanta and Theerathon Bunmathan. Mueanta, already the scorer in the first leg, equaled the score in the 28th minute, following an early lead by Selangor's Syahir Bashah. Coach Mark Jackson praised his team's resilience, noting, "My team has shown remarkable character at critical times this season."

Theerathon secured the win with an impressive 25-yard volley early in the second half, though he faced an ejection late in the game. Despite Selangor's attempts, including a near-goal saved by Neil Etheridge, Buriram United held onto their lead to retain the championship.
