In a thrilling encounter, England's women's cricket team defeated India by 26 runs, evening the score in the three-match T20I series at 1-1 on Saturday. The victory came with an exceptional performance from Freya Kemp, who played a crucial role with both bat and ball.

India, chasing a target of 169, managed to accumulate only 142 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Yastika Bhatia was the standout performer for India, scoring 33, closely followed by opener Smriti Mandhana with 32. However, their efforts were not enough to reach the target set by England.

Freya Kemp's game-changing innings saw her score 39 not out off just 13 balls, and she later claimed two wickets to restrict India's chase. Charlie Dean and Lauren Bell also contributed with two wickets each, strengthening England's defense.

Earlier in the match, Indian spinner Shree Charani shone with figures of 3 for 25, helping limit England's innings to 168 for 5. Her efforts, alongside those of fellow bowlers Nandani Sharma and Shreyanka Patil, brought some resistance against the strong English side.
