Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo stole the spotlight from Australian newcomer Gout Gout during Wednesday's Diamond League debut in Oslo. The pre-race excitement focused on 18-year-old Gout, but Tebogo quickly established dominance in the men's 200 metres, clocking in at 19.84 seconds, while Gout finished sixth.
American teenager Cooper Lutkenhaus impressed in the men's 800 metres, defeating Olympic champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi in a dramatic photo finish. At just 17, Lutkenhaus made his winning move at the 500-metre mark, securing a victory with a world-leading time of 1:42.08.
The evening concluded with a thrilling 400 metres hurdles race. Brazilian Alison dos Santos and local favourite Karsten Warholm competed stride for stride until Dos Santos surged ahead in the final stretch, winning comfortably in 46.89 seconds.
