This marks the largest annual rise in the tournament's history amidst growing demands from players for a larger share of Grand Slam revenues. Notably, the French Open recently witnessed players limiting media interactions and even contemplating a boycott.

Debbie Jevans, chairman of the All England Club, announced at a pre-Wimbledon press conference that prize money would rise substantially across all tournament rounds. The singles champions are poised to earn £3.6 million, while runners-up will receive £1.8 million. First-round exits will secure £80,000, a notable jump from the previous amount.
