A niggling knee injury limited her court time and the rust was all too visible heading into the tournament but her big-match experience will come in handy against unseeded Strycova.

Best Wimbledon performance: Semi-finals (2019) Just like Williams, Strycova has dropped one set en route to the semi-finals and the 33-year-old knocked out four seeded players - Lesia Tsurenko, Kiki Bertens, Elise Mertens and Johanna Konta.
