Jets release RB Henderson

The New York Jets released running back De'Angelo Henderson on Tuesday. The team needed to clear space on the 90-man training camp roster after signing tight end Ryan Griffin on Monday.

Henderson, 26, was Denver's sixth-round pick in 2017. He rushed seven times for 13 yards and caught two passes for 36 yards and a touchdown with the Broncos in five games as a rookie. He joined the Jets' practice squad last September and was activated for three games, logging two carries for 19 yards.
