Patriots rookie WR Harry (ankle) returns to practice
- Country:
- United States
New England Patriots wide receiver N'Keal Harry, a rookie first-rounder who was placed on injured reserve before the season, practiced Tuesday, clearing the way for his imminent return. Harry could not practice with the team for the first six weeks on IR, but he is eligible to play in Week 9 at the Baltimore Ravens on Nov. 3. He missed much of fall camp due to an ankle injury.
Harry is one of two players the Patriots can bring back off IR, with the other player most likely being left tackle Isaiah Wynn (toe). He is eligible to play Nov. 17 at Philadelphia, after the Patriots' Week 10 bye. New England selected the 6-foot-4 Harry with the last pick of the first round in April. Harry caught 213 passes for 2,889 yards and 22 touchdowns in three seasons at Arizona State before leaving after his junior season.
Also on Tuesday, the Patriots added Eric Tomlinson and Ben Watson to bolster their tight end group, as rookie seventh-round pick Ryan Izzo was the only healthy tight end on the roster this week.
