Rams RB Gurley (quad) returns to practice

Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, his first action in more than a week. Gurley sat out practice all last week with a left quad contusion and did not suit up for the Rams' 20-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. He was hurt Oct. 3 at Seattle.

The three-time Pro Bowl selection's status for Sunday's road game against the Atlanta Falcons remains uncertain. Gurley has rushed 64 times for 270 yards (4.2 average) and five touchdowns in five games this season, adding 14 catches for 68 yards.

Without him, the Rams were held to a season-low 157 total yards of offense (109 rushing) by the 49ers and dropped their third straight game after a 3-0 start.
