The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed defensive back Antone Exum Jr. to a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday. Additionally, the 49ers also opened the practice window for linebacker Kentavius Street, who was placed on the injured reserve list on Sept. 1 with a knee injury.

Exum, a sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech by the Minnesota Vikings in 2014, originally signed with San Francisco in November of 2017. He was released Oct. 2. Exum, 28, appeared in three games this season with the 49ers and in 20 games (eight starts) overall with San Francisco.

Last season he racked up a career-high 40 tackles (34 solo), a sack, seven passes defensed, an interception, a touchdown and a forced fumble through 15 games (seven starts). The 49ers have a three-week window to decide whether or not to place Street on the active roster.
