Ericsson establishes first experience center in Gurugram, India

Ericsson recently established the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and Innovation Lab for 5G in the country at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.

Swedish multinational networking and telecommunications company Ericsson today launched its first Experience Center in Gurugram, India that will showcase the future potential of new technologies including 5G connected Drones, connected urban transport, Internet of skills and Mixed Reality Mining.

The Ericsson Experience Studio was inaugurated on site by Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecommunications (DOT), Government of India and Klas Molin, Ambassador of Sweden to India.

"With the pace at which technology is evolving, initiatives like these provide for discussions and understanding of new technologies and their application in the real world," said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecommunications (DOT), India.

"As in the case of the 5G Centre of Excellence and Innovation Lab, we are looking at the Ericsson Studio in Gurugram becoming the hub for innovation and discussion on futuristic mobile technologies," said Nitin Bansal, Head of Network Solutions South East Asia, Oceania and India market area (MOAI), Ericsson.

Ericsson recently established the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and Innovation Lab for 5G in the country at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi to drive the development of the country's 4.5G and 5G ecosystems by bringing together telecom ecosystems, academia, industry, and start-ups.
