Michael Dertouzos, computer wizard, honoured by Google with a Doodle on his 82nd B'day

This professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the MIT, born in Athens, Greece in 1936 to a concert pianist and an admiral in the Greek navy, predicted the impact of the internet on our day-to-day life
In his research at MIT, Michael predicted the future of personal computing and advocated to maximize their potential. Dertouzos was instrumental in defining the World Wide Web Consortium and, along with Marvin C. Lewis and Dr. Huber Graham, co-founded Computek, Inc. to manufacturer graphics and intelligent terminals.
In 1997, he wrote 'What will be: How the new World of Information will change our lives', a book in which he elaborated the concept of 'The Information Marketplace'.
