OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2 now available for OnePlus Nord 3

OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2, based on Android 14, to the OnePlus Nord 3 units in India. This second beta brings in more functional optimizations compared to the first Open Beta.

The changelog includes a bunch of bug fixes, improvements as well as the October 2023 Android security patch. Below is the complete update changelog:

System

• Integrates the October 2023 Android security patch to enhance system security.
• Adds support for app-specific refresh rates to improve user experience.
• Improves system stability and performance.
• Extends the battery life in some scenarios.
• Fixes an issue that might cause some third-party apps to crash.
• Fixes a screen flicker issue that might occur when certain apps are opened.
• Fixes a display issue that affects the widgets on the Home screen when you switch to Dark mode.
• Fixes a display issue that might affect the icons in Quick Settings.

Apps

• Improves the weather animations such as thunderstorms.
• Fixes an issue where the keyboard might fail to open in some scenarios.

Starting today, you can apply for this beta, if you meet the following requirements:

• Make sure that your device is in the latest OxygenOS 13.1 version.
• Ensure that the battery level is above 30%
• A minimum of 4 GB of storage space must be available.
• Confirm your phone has been updated to the detectable version: CPH2491_13.1.0.592(EX01)

To apply, head over to your phone's Settings > About device > Tap up to date > Tap icon on the top right > Beta program > Follow the steps. Once available for your device, you can download the version from Settings > About device > Download Now.

Notably, this build may not be as stable as official OTAs. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks, OnePlus warned in a post on Tuesday.
