ISRO's SSLV-D3-EOS-08 Mission: A Leap in Microsatellite Development

ISRO has initiated the countdown for the launch of its small satellite launch vehicle, SSLV-D3-EOS-08. This mission, the third for ISRO in 2024, aims to develop microsatellites and payload instruments, boosting NewSpace India Ltd's capability. The satellite carries three payloads and has a mission life of one year.

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has begun the countdown for the launch of its earth observation satellite, SSLV-D3-EOS-08, as announced on Friday.

This mission, ISRO's third in 2024, takes place after the successful SSLV-D2-EOS-07 launch in February. The agency has confirmed a six-and-a-half-hour countdown started at 2:47 AM IST.

The primary goals include developing a microsatellite and integrating payload instruments. With the completion of this mission, NewSpace India Ltd will be better positioned to handle commercial launches using Small Satellite Launch Vehicles.
