India's Sagar Defence announced on Tuesday a strategic partnership with Liquid Robotics, a Boeing subsidiary, for the co-development and co-production of scaled Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV) systems.

The news comes just days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden discussed the collaboration in Wilmington, expressing support for the initiative.

The two companies have signed an exclusive teaming agreement, aiming to enhance undersea domain awareness for the Indian Navy through these advanced USV systems. Implementation is expected to commence next year.
