This strategic shift by Google aims to combat fraudulent activities. However, the adjustment may unintentionally affect legitimate small businesses, especially those unaware of the new requirement. If discrepancies arise between a business's Google Profile and ad information, advertising will come to a halt.
Securing verification on Google, though manageable, demands attention to detail and time. Business owners must claim their business address on Google and verify it through phone, email, text, or video. Completion of this process, which may include validating licenses, insurance, and business registration, could take up to seven days.
