The Maharashtra government is set to reinforce its digital governance framework by expanding the network of Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendras, as announced by Information Technology Minister Ashish Shelar in the Legislative Council on Wednesday.
This strategic move targets a more efficient and accessible delivery of government services to citizens, both in rural and urban sectors of the state. The upgrade also includes a hike in service charges at these centers, from Rs 20 to Rs 50, reflecting inflation adjustments since charges haven't changed since 2008.
In a bid to accommodate growth demands, the government will double the number of service centers in various localities, ensuring home delivery of services soon as a convenient option for citizens. This initiative marks a significant milestone in advancing Maharashtra's digital transformation agenda.
