IIT Bombay and FedEx Launch Cutting-Edge Logistics Hub

IIT Bombay and FedEx have collaborated to establish a new center focused on advancing logistics. This hub, known as the FedEx ALPHA Centre, aims to create innovative solutions for supply chain challenges and foster student entrepreneurship. IIT Bombay has partnered with FedEx to introduce a new center aimed at revolutionizing logistics. Officially unveiled on Monday, the IITB-FedEx Centre for Advanced Logistics is set to drive research and innovation in the field.

Named the FedEx ALPHA Centre, this facility will focus on data-driven strategies to tackle complex supply chain challenges. The center also aims to nurture cutting-edge talent and support entrepreneurial ventures among students, according to a statement from IIT Bombay.

Shireesh Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay, emphasized the collaborative effort as beneficial for both research development and student exposure to real-world logistics challenges with potential for scalable outcomes. FedEx's regional president, Kami Viswanathan, highlighted this collaboration as a forward-thinking approach to shaping a globally connected economy.
