IT giant Infosys has unveiled a new Centre for Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology in Hubballi, Karnataka. This initiative asserts the city's status as a crucial technology hub for the company, pushing its local workforce to exceed 1,000.
The centre was inaugurated by Karnataka's Minister for Large & Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, M B Patil, alongside Minister for Electronics, IT & Biotechnology, Priyank Kharge. It is a part of the 'Infosys Living Labs' network, which features over 12 locations worldwide.
This facility will focus on creating advanced digital solutions in areas like artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, serving various sectors including manufacturing and healthcare. This expansion is seen as a significant employment opportunity and a boost for industry-academia collaboration in North Karnataka.
