Located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, the AI center will be Google's largest outside the United States. The project will include a 1-gigawatt data center campus, large-scale energy facilities, and an expanded fiber-optic network. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian highlighted its significance during an official agreement ceremony.

The investment was announced at Bharat AI Shakti, a Google-hosted event in New Delhi, attended by prominent Indian officials. Google CEO Sundar Pichai expressed excitement over this development, which will combine significant computing capacity and energy infrastructure to benefit enterprises and users across India.
