Adani Group and Italian giant Leonardo announce a strategic partnership to establish a helicopter manufacturing ecosystem in India, strengthening the aerospace sector. This collaboration targets Indian Armed Forces' helicopter needs, promoting 'Make In India' through indigenisation and robust maintenance capabilities, aiming to meet high local demand and global market growth.

On Tuesday, Adani Group joined forces with Italy's Leonardo to create a comprehensive helicopter manufacturing ecosystem in India, enhancing the nation's aerospace landscape.

The partnership, formalized in the capital, will primarily serve the Indian Armed Forces' helicopter requirements, notably for Leonardo's AW169M and AW109 TrekkerM models.

With India's helicopter market projected to substantially grow, this strategic move aligns with the government's vision of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, fostering domestic manufacturing while reducing import dependence.
