Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma has underscored the northeastern state's burgeoning digital capabilities, attributing it to high literacy rates and English proficiency among its population. On Tuesday, he inaugurated the computerisation of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, a landmark in Mizoram's digital journey.
Declared the country's first fully literate state last year, Mizoram boasts a literacy rate of 98.2%. The state government aims to simplify and expedite public service delivery by harnessing its social and educational strengths.
More than 20 online service portals have been launched in the past two years, enhancing Mizoram's status as a leader in digital services. Officials highlight the efficiency of these systems, particularly in reducing the need for physical visits, thus easing business processes.
