European missile maker MBDA has partnered with the Indian Air Force to develop local maintenance capabilities for MICA missiles. A new facility will be established, operated, and maintained by the Indian Air Force, with MBDA providing necessary machinery, data packs, and technical support.

This joint effort aligns with India's Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aiming to foster technological independence and build strategic autonomy. The MRO facility promises improved turnaround times and enhanced operational capability for India's armed forces.
