Gaddi community to hold programme at Dharamshala stadium, demands ex-minister

A former Himachal minister has requested the state government to allow the Gaddi community to hold a cultural programme at Dharamshala indoor stadium here.
The request was made by former minister Sudhir Sharma, who is also a secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Dharamshala district Congress spokesperson Jitendra Sharma said Sunday.
The cultural meet ‘Nuala’ is being organised in October by a social group of the community, he said, adding the group has over one lakh members, including those residing abroad.
Many of the groups oversee members too are likely to attend the meet, he said.
Sharma said the state former minister has requested Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Kishan Kapoor to instruct the authorities concerned to allow the community to hold the cultural programme in the indoor stadium.
