The Buffalo Bills claimed defensive tackle Jordan Phillips on Wednesday, a day after the Miami Dolphins waived the four-year veteran.

In a corresponding move, the Bills waived defensive tackle Robert Thomas. The 27-year-old had appeared in two games with Buffalo this season.

Unhappy with his playing time, Phillips complained about the sideline in the first half of Miami's 38-7 loss at New England on Sunday and required several teammates to calm him down.

Two days later, Phillips was released. When asked what led to the decision, Miami coach Adam Gase, who was critical of Phillips' anger about playing time, refused to answer.

Phillips announced his release through his Instagram page.

"No longer a Miami Dolphin. Good luck to my brothers on the team. I'll miss ya'll, but I couldn't be happier to be out of there," Phillips wrote. "Free at last. Free at last....I'm in my bag. Don't take it personally. Sometimes you got to put your future in your own hands and live with it."

Selected in the second round of the 2015 draft, Phillips recorded 63 tackles, 5.5 sacks and one interception in 48 games with Miami.
