Both the ruling Congress and the main opposition MNF on Wednesday said they are confident of winning the Mizoram Assembly polls.
After casting his vote here, Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla told the media that he was sure of retaining power by winning at least 27 of the 40 Assembly seats.
"We have done a lot of developmental work in Mizoram. People have full trust in our governance and performance," he said.
MNF leader and former Chief Minister Zoramthanga told the media that he was confident of returning to power because of the failure of the Congress government in all respects including financial management.
